Content like my devotionals, books, and podcasts can help you connect the gospel to your work; but only Christian community can help you apply the gospel to your work.
Let me explain why.
When I write a book like The Sacredness of Secular Work or a new devotional series, I create that content for all âmere Christians,â whether youâre an entrepreneur, a barista, or a manager in a large company.
Given how wide my audience is, my content can only be so practical. It can help you make a mental connection between a biblical truth and your job (EX: âI am called to âvalue others above myselfâ including my co-workersâ), but it can only go so far in helping you with application. Because if youâre a manager of a team, youâre going to have very different questions than a barista about how to apply that biblical truth. Questions like:
There are no one-size-fits-all answers to these questions. Answering them well requires gospel-centered discernment in a community of mere Christians who:
Community like that is incredibly hard to find. Which is why I created the Mere Christians Community: to help you more deeply apply the gospel to your specific work alongside other believers in your vocational field.
My friend John Mark Comer says that "You canât follow Jesus alone. Not 'shouldnât'; canât." I couldnât agree more. To that end, keep scrolling to learn more about the Mere Christians Community today!
"I have my community through church, women's groups, etc., but there is something special about this community."
I give members of the Mere Christians Community everything I think you need to apply the gospel to your work! Specifically...
A small group of people who share your vocation and commitment to Jesus. Your group will meet virtually twice a month to workshop workplace challenges, pray for each other, and discuss questions like "What is the work beneath your work? And how can the gospel free you from it?" and "Whatâs the most significant way that your work has changed as a result of following Jesus?"

Join Now"It's SO much fun and so valuable for my career and spiritual development to be able to interact regularly with like-minded believers in the Mere Christians Community who 'get' this faith and work topic. They just get it. And I have come across very few people like that in my own community. The people in my Vocational Small Group (VSG) have become each other's friends, colleagues and advisors. They're the definition of 'iron sharpens iron.' Every time we meet, I leave encouraged, challenged and energized. My work colleagues and team NEED me to commit that hour to my VSG every-other-week; I am simply better because of it. I now have the time blocked out on my work calendar!"
Access to the Mere Christians Community is just $35/month! And of course, you can cancel anytime.
Registration is currently closed, but the doors open again soon for one week only. Join the wait list now to be notified as soon as the doors open up again!
"Being in the community for only a month at the time of writing this, I am already blown away by the value. From the Q&As to the small groups, there is a special energy of connection, helpfulness and generosity that has made being a part of the community beyond worth it."

I love showing-up for these monthly Zooms where you get the chance to ask me absolutely anything that's on your heart! Over the past few months, Iâve weighed in on questions ranging from when to make the leap to starting your own business to how to redeem your time with kids. Hereâs a clip of one of my favorite questions from Andy, a solopreneur who asked me how Christians should be thinking about AI.

If youâve read this far, itâs likely that you deeply want to glorify God in every aspect of your lifeâincluding your work.
But what on earth does that look like practically?
In my other books, I tell you answers to that question through theological exposition. But in this one, I get to show you through some of my favorite stories of all time.
In Five Mere Christians, Iâll introduce you to five men and women whose unforgettable life stories are full of wisdom for how you can glorify God through your work today. These are the top 5 guests Iâd want to have on the Mere Christians podcast today if they were still alive to be interviewed!
And weâre going to read and discuss them in the Mere Christians Community before the rest of the world can even get a copy!
